The Nassau Psychological Services Institute (NPSI) is the educational and public service arm of the Nassau County Psychological Association (NCPA) and of psychology in Nassau County. It is a tax-exempt, non-profit institute, chartered by the N.Y. State Education Department, to provide public education, research, professional training, and low-cost diagnostic, consultative, and therapeutic services.

Low-Cost Therapy Service
The Nassau Psychological Services Institute Treatment Service is composed of licensed NCPA members who volunteer their services pro bono by offering one hour per week of therapy to children and adults who could not otherwise afford assistance (individuals in financial difficulty and those who have no insurance coverage). The very low-cost fees are used for other public service activities.

Speakers' Bureau
The Nassau Psychological Services Institute provides speakers to community groups and organizations on topics of psychological interest. Speakers prepare presentations for PTA groups, teachers meetings, religious organizations, and public libraries.

Division of Continuing Professional Education
The Division of Continuing Professional Education offers cutting edge continuing education programs for psychologists on theoretical and applied topics of relevance to those who practice in school, clinical, and private settings. It is authorized by the American Psychological Association to grant continuing education credit to psychologists and other professionals who attend and complete programs that are approved by the Division. The Co-Directors of the Division welcome proposals from interested speakers who wish to be considered as presenters and from other organizations that are seeking CE credit for their programs.
